VPN trial

Our VPN trial is called Vanechka, the affectionate form of Vanya. It costs $0.50 and lasts 3 days, long enough to see how the VPN copes with your home Wi-Fi and with mobile data.

Try Vanechka for $0.50

After the trial, a regular monthly subscription starts unless you turn renewal off in your account.

  1. $0.50 Every country and device, no traffic cap.

One day or three

How long Vanechka lasts depends on how you pay, not on where you are. Pay with a card issued outside Russia and Belarus and you get 3 days, which is what the price above assumes. Pay with a card from a Russian bank (Mir, Visa or Mastercard) or through SBP, Russia’s instant payment system, and you get one day, priced in rubles.

Crypto is accepted for regular plans but not for Vanechka.

How to try Vanechka

On the site, press Try Vanechka and enter your email, which becomes your account. Then choose how to pay. Once it’s paid, install the app and sign in to your account.

You can also start in the app. Install VanyaVPN and press Connect. Without a subscription it opens the Buy VanyaVPN screen, where you choose Trial and press Connect VPN. The App Store and Mac App Store versions have no Trial option, so with those, start the trial on the site.

For other systems, the list of apps has every version.

What Vanechka includes

Everything a full subscription has. The list holds all 187 countries, and one account covers every device you own. Trial users share servers with paying ones, so there’s no slower lane. If a country feels slow, the fast VPN page has tips on picking a better one.

Use the trial for whatever you need a VPN for. In Russia that’s usually YouTube and the sites that stopped opening. Abroad it’s often the reverse, reaching Russian sites through our server in Moscow.

If it didn’t work for you at all, write to support and we’ll return the $0.50 under the refund policy.

If you like Vanechka

If you already know you’re staying, a longer term costs less per month and comes with two to six bonus months.

If it does not work for you, we refund the payment under our refund policy.

Questions about Vanechka

Is the trial free?

No, Vanechka costs $0.50. There is no free plan, so the trial is the cheapest way to try the whole service.

Can I try Vanechka twice?

No. It’s sold once, and only to an account that has never had a subscription. If you’ve paid for VanyaVPN before, start with a month at $5.

I’m on an iPhone. Where’s the trial?

The App Store version doesn’t have Vanechka, since purchases there follow Apple’s terms. Try Vanechka on the site, then install the app and sign in to your account. A Kazakh, Turkish, German or American Apple ID, for instance, finds it in the App Store without any detours. In the Russian store it’s missing, and the iPhone guide (in Russian) shows how to switch region or install through TestFlight, where Trial is available right in the app.
